Glubran® 2 Synthetic Surgical Adhesive

Picto Certified Partner Solution

Cyanoacrylate glue and co-monomer

Glubran®2 is a second-generation product modified by the addition of a N-Butyl 2 cyanoacrylate (NBCA) + Methacryloxysulfolane (MS) monomer.

Glubran®2 is used in traditional surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and in digestive endoscopy treatments, interventional radiology, and vascular neuroradiology.
This adhesive polymerizes upon contact with tissues and in a moist environment and creates a film that adheres to tissues or prosthetic materials.
Glubran®2 is ready to use.

  • Available in 3 formats 1 ml / 0.5 ml / 0.25 ml
  • 10 sterile single doses in thermoformed aluminum blisters
  • 2-year shelf life

Clinical benefits

Glubran®2 for minimally invasive surgery.

    • Versatile, it polymerizes rapidly upon contact with tissues and in a moist environment.
    • It creates a thin, elastic, and breathable film that adheres firmly to tissues or prosthetic materials

A second-generation product modified by the addition of a N-Butyl 2 cyanoacrylate (NBCA) + Methacryloxysulfolane (MS) monomer

Glubran®2 is ready to use. It is a powerful sealing product with high adhesive and hemostatic properties; once polymerized, it creates an effective antiseptic barrier against the most common infectious or pathogenic agents during surgical procedures.
Glubran®2 polymerizes rapidly upon contact with living tissues and in a moist environment, forming a thin, elastic film with high tensile strength that ensures strong adhesion to tissues. This film naturally conforms to the shape of the tissues on which it is applied; it is impermeable to liquids and is not affected by blood or body fluids.
Glubran®2 is indicated in open and laparoscopic surgery as well as in gastrointestinal endoscopy as a sclerosing agent.
Additionally, Glubran®2 is used as an embolization agent in interventional radiology and vascular neuroradiology.

Glubran®2 performs an adhesive, hemostatic, embolizing, and bacteriostatic action on tissues.
The product is used in traditional surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and in digestive endoscopy treatments, interventional radiology, and vascular neuroradiology.
Glubran®2 can be used in various surgical procedures (see the eFU file for the different applications of the product).

Glubran® 2 applied in minimal quantities using dedicated application devices produces, after polymerization, a thin adhesive film.
Glubran® 2 can be applied in nebulized form using the accessories provided for this purpose for laparoscopy and laparotomy procedures; nebulization of the product allows application of a sufficient quantity of Glubran® 2, which forms a thin, elastic film adhering to tissues.
